Movement and language are both forms of communication and self-expression. Avid Learning presents our hugely popular Writing Through Movement Workshop that will aid understanding on how to use movement and the body to connect with your inner untapped sources of creativity. Conducted by Director, Actor and Teacher, Yuki Ellias this workshop will include exercises and techniques that will help you choreograph your thoughts and hone your writing skills all while you loosen your inhibitions! This workshop is sure to give you a multisensory experience of time and space and help you plumb hidden cerative complexities. Join us to learn a whole new form of creative writing drawn from physical impulse!
Yuki Ellias is an actor, director, movement choreographer from Mumbai. Her 2017 shows include Elephant in the Room which won 3 META 2017 awards for best Actor female, Lighting Design and Costumes; and a children’s dance-theatre show about growing up called "Keep Calm & Dance". From the Jacques Lecoq School in Paris she is also a trained pedagogue from the London International School for Performing Arts. Yuki is a convenor and pedagogical advisor at the Drama School Mumbai. She has performed at the RSC, The Sydney Theatre Co, The Roundhouse London, Teatro Roman Verona with the internationally acclaimed A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Tim Supple.
